Our company has successfully completed the delivery in January 2026 of disaster prevention and mitigation equipment to the Republic of Palau under Japan’s Grant Aid for “Economic and Social Development Programme.”

This project was implemented with the objective of strengthening Palau’s disaster preparedness and response capabilities, as the country remains highly vulnerable to natural disasters. Due to its geographical characteristics, Palau faces significant disaster risks, as evidenced by the devastating damage caused by a typhoon in 2013. In recent years, concerns have also been growing over the increasing frequency and severity of disasters due to climate change.

At the same time, there has been a lack of sufficient equipment necessary to ensure the safety of residents and enable rapid information sharing in emergency situations, making the enhancement of disaster risk reduction capacity a key challenge.

Under this project, our company supplied tactical flashlights and binoculars. These items are expected to support search and rescue operations, improve night-time response capabilities, and enable rapid situational assessment during emergencies, thereby enhancing the effectiveness and safety of operations carried out by relevant local authorities.

Furthermore, the introduction of these equipment is expected to contribute not only to improving initial response capabilities during disasters, but also to facilitating smooth evacuation of residents and minimizing damage, ultimately supporting social stability and the country’s economic and social development.

We will continue to contribute to solving challenges faced by countries around the world through international cooperation projects, including in the field of disaster risk reduction, and strive toward the realization of a sustainable society.
